Klinikum Chemnitz
Klinikum Chemnitz Hospital is a non-profit facility established as a clinical center in 1994. With its 1,790 inpatient beds, it is one of the largest hospitals in Germany. With over 3,000 employees, it is also one of the largest employers in the region.
Klinikum Chemnitz physicians cover almost all medical specialties. A beautiful hospital, it boasts a gourmet restaurant with penthouse views of downtown Chemnitz and the surrounding hillsides.
In 2000, Klinikum Chemnitz was the first German hospital to be accredited in accordance with the international standards of the Joint Commission International (JCI). The surveys for the re-accreditation were also successfully completed. Klinikum Chemnitz is the first hospital in Germany, the fourth in Europe and the seventh worldwide which has successfully passed the initial triennial re-accreditation surveys.
